{"id":55,"date":"2015-01-05T00:05:15","date_gmt":"2015-01-05T00:05:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/azelvandre.net\/artistseye\/?p=55"},"modified":"2015-01-08T12:45:42","modified_gmt":"2015-01-08T17:45:42","slug":"studio-notes-new-landscape-started","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/azelvandre.net\/artistseye\/2015\/01\/studio-notes-new-landscape-started\/","title":{"rendered":"Studio Notes &#8211; New landscape started"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I spent some time in the studio this afternoon, stretching canvas and beginning a new painting in my &#8220;paysages plan\u00e9taires&#8221; series. \u00a0A big inspiration for this series is the work of Swiss symbolist and proto-expressionist (my designation) <strong>Ferdinand Hodler<\/strong>. \u00a0(Occasionally I reblog Hodler images on my <a href=\"http:\/\/pareidoliac.tumblr.com\">tumblr<\/a>.) I believe I came across the term &#8220;<strong>paysage plan\u00e9taire<\/strong>&#8221; in some essays about his work. \u00a0Alas, I can&#8217;t find the reference now.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe it came to me in a dream.<\/p>\n<p>In any case, this one is started. \u00a0Each painting is an experiment.
